The Breaking Point

In the early 90's Ching Long, a young rebellious man who moved from Hong Kong to Taiwan against his father's wishes, and his best friend Ko Tin Chun, who is a successful young architect. Ching Long returns to Hong Kong working manual labour jobs and also as a stunt double. His family consists of his son, his father, and younger sister. The story revolves around Long and misunderstanding with his father as well as his romantic relationships with a Vietnamese refugee Chin Kiu and his sister's best friend, Sum Mun Yee.

Man Yi decides to step from the love triangle and she wants to leave Hong Kong. Ching Long asks her to stay with him. When Chin Kiu sees that, she suffers a blow and her memory is revived. In order to secure Ching Long's love, however, she still pretends to be the one who has lost her memory. Chin Kiu realizes that Man Yi is always on Ching Long's mind, therefore, she plans to urge Ching Long to marry her. Moreover, she asks him to take photos with wedding gowns with her. Ching Long has no alternative but to promise her. Man Yi is daunted and sad. After Chin Kiu has taken the photos, she is satisfied as her wish is fulfilled. She tells Han Yi that she will go back to Australia alone and she will never disturb Ching Long any more. Man Yi is between laughter and tears. When Chin Kiu is on her way to the airport, she finds that Tin Chun tries to shoot Ching Long……
