A motor-mouthed outsider with no memory of his past is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.
Based on a video game of the same name Twisted Metal is zany enough to entertain but as we see so often, entertainment comes in a distant second, to "the message".
The likeable main male character is always in the feminist rear vision mirror. As, indeed, are most pivotal male characters in this series. Its a shame too, as there's enough Mad Max meets Monty Python, on offer here, to be genuinely entertaining.
In summary, weirdly watchable but the incessant need to push the politics of gender, is downright tiresome.
