"In Search of the Great Beast 666" documents the chilling life, impulses and journey of Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), one of the most controversial and mysterious characters of the 20th Century; infamously known as "The Wickedest Man in the World."
Given the subject matter it could have been interesting and educational or absolute rubbish. Fortunately it went with interesting.
The big selling point is that the narration, at times, feels like a stage performance piece and is really just as earnest. So, honestly, the best part of the documentary is the delivery, and that makes for a fairly unique piece in any catalogue of documentaries.
