Mick and Kev, teen Irish lads, are at the shore, throwing rocks at empty cans, drinking cider. Mick's the pushy one, engaging Kev in a game of mumbly peg, his hand on top of Kev's, fingers splayed. As Mick moves the knife between their fingers, a train is heard approaching. What's Mick's purpose?
This briefest of short films sees two teenage lads messing about with some beers by an Irish coastal railway line. "Mick" (Darren Healy) seems a little more grown up, certainly more dominant, than "Kev" (Niall O'Shea) but when a passing train startles them and interrupts the game that they are playing it becomes clear that the two are a little more than friends. Quiet a clever three minutes of assumption-busting cinema.
