Tony Rome, a tough Miami PI living on a houseboat, is hired by a local millionaire to find jewelry stolen from his daughter, and in the process has several encounters with local hoods as well as the Miami Beach PD.
After seeing Sinatra's 'The Detective' and enjoying it, I decided to see his earlier-made 'Tony Rome', also directed by Gordon Douglas. This was very enjoyable and I loved the star-filled supporting cast...especially Jill St. John, Richard Conte, Gena Rowlands and even boxing great Rocky Graziano (I had earlier loved the Paul Newman-starred biopic on Graziano, 'Somebody Up There Likes Me').
Solid...and I look forward to seeing its sequel, 'Lady in Cement'...
