A group of Peruvians live in a country without identity, without understanding the meaning of being independent, and are very close to celebrating the Fiestas Patrias. A mother and her daughter sell flags and rosettes, in addition to working the land of a farm. A poor old woman who cleans a school lives alone, missing her daughter and having her dog "Luna" as her only company. A retired teacher complains about the lack of patriotism while his daughter motivates him to return to teaching and recover the love he lost for the country. An event brings together all these ordinary Peruvians, along with fifth grade students, who question and reflect on the broken nation in which we live and the idiosyncrasy that defines us as Peru.
