The process of taking a photograph and being able to see it, has changed a lot in a very short period. Digital photography brought about a revolution in this experience, which meant the rapid extinction of processes that José Luis, one of the most emblematic photography technicians in Mexico, was accustomed to. It is through his portrait that we can reconstruct a part of the history of local and national analog photography. "Memorias de un análogo" ("Analog Memories") is a tribute to the work of the lab technician, a key figure in the existence of analog photography, and a way to recognize the processes of adaptation in the face of adversity that the analog world and our friend José Luis have experienced.
