**_A missing girl finds out she might be the heir of a grand estate on Lake Superior_**
A girl with amnesia is found in the woods and grows up an orphan. When she’s an adult, a case-worker says a woman (Kiersten Warren) claims that she’s her missing daughter. Jane (Francesca Eastwood) goes to the beautiful manor where she meets the estate manager and the woman’s charismatic beau (Federico Dordei). It seems too good to be true, so what’s the catch?
“Girl Missing” (2015) is a crime drama/thriller involving a manor-in-the-woods, like "Cold Creek Manor" (2003), but with a story and budget closer to “Glass House 2: The Good Mother" (2006). The awesome manor itself is a highlight, which is Glensheen Mansion in Duluth, on the western tip of Lake Superior. Beautiful Francesca (Clint’s daughter) was 21 during shooting and is also a highlight.
The drama is one-dimensional, revolving around 3-4 characters within the hallowed halls of the estate and grounds. Moreover, the story’s kinda predictable, which is actually preferrable to eye-rolling twists.
The movie runs 1 hour, 24 minutes, and was shot entirely in Minnesota.
