Badri Hussun Fareed, the late Iraqi artist, born in 1927 in Karbala, pursued studies in law in Baghdad before venturing into the arts. Graduating at the top of his class in theater arts in 1955, he later earned a scholarship to study at the Goodman Theatre Institute in Chicago from 1962 to 1965, where he excelled.

Upon his return to Iraq, Fareed became a prominent figure in the theater scene. Notable works include directing plays like "Enemy of the People" (1967) and "The Last Hour" (1969). In 1995, he taught drama at the University of Rabat in Morocco before returning to Iraq in 2010. Badri Hussun Fareed passed away in 2017 at the age of 94, leaving behind a legacy of theatrical excellence.
