Franz Seemann

August 3, 1887 — Berlin, Germany

The production designer Franz Seemann joined the film business in 1919 and he created his first set for "Die Ehe der Frau Mary" (1919), he then emigrated to the USA but never worked for the film again. He also realised the short film "Kopf kalt - Füsse warm" as a director. After his retirement from the film business he worked as an architect till 1933 before he had to leave Germany because he was a Jew. His last cinematical works came in the silent movie era of the 20s into being and he was the production designer or art director for numerous movies.
