Christian Zakharchuk is a filmmaker originating from Vancouver Island, Sooke BC. Often expressing themselves through analog technology and unconventional ways of storytelling. Recently he graduated with a bachelor's degree from Capilano University, with a planned dedication to the celluloid format.

He is most known for his late high school feature, GIRLZ NIGHT, gaining a minuscule, but faithful cult following. DARKMAN, shot entirely on Super 8, has screened in Serbia ( KINOSKOP 5- ANALOG EXPERIMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL), and Paris, France (Giallo International Film Festival) respectively. It's currently being shown across France as a part of a travelling show (The itinerant Cinema of La Bête Rousse).

His last project, WAR TIMES, a mixed media journey on 16MM, Hi-8, and Nintendo DS, has been developed and scanned in collaboration with Cineworks, and mentored under indie Canadian filmmaker, Carl Bessai.
