Eleftheria Arvanitaki began performing professionally in 1980, when she joined the group "Opisthodromiki Kompania" (Retrograde Company) and in 1981 she had her first guest appearance on a CD, by being featured in the album of Vangelis Germanos titled "Ta Barakia".

Her solo career started in 1984 with her album titled "Eleftheria Arvanitaki". Since then she recorder over 20 solo albums and guest participated in more than 70 albums.

Eleftheria's vocal qualities and her ability to combine the traditional and contemporary music of Greece, have inspired some of the most distinguished composers, lyricists, and poets to write songs for her.

Most of her albums have gone platinum.
