Born in Ehime prefecture in May 1984.
I came to Tokyo in 2003, entered Dept. of Animation, Faculty of Arts at Tokyo Polytechnic University as the first graduate, and studied under Taku Furukawa. After graduation, I went on to enter the graduate school of the same university in pursuit of animation.
Having graduated in March 2009, I am currently a freelance animation creator while working at the Tokyo Polytechnic University as a part-time instructor.
In 2010, I formed a creative unit “Decovocal” with my partner Ichinose.
And since 2019, I have been a permanent director of Japan Animation Association.
The representative works, “Mr. Cloud and Mr. Rain,” “BUILDINGS” and “Lizard Planet,” have been put on the screen in various countries worldwide and received a number of awards.
