Gabriel Böhmer is a UK based filmmaker and artist from Zürich Switzerland. His film Push This Button If You Begin To Panic (2020) premiered at the Locarno Film Festival, and was awarded the EFA Short Film Candidacy at the Riga International Film Festival. The Flood Is Coming (2018) qualified for the Academy Awards by winning the National Competition at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur. And his film Beetle Trouble (2017) was included in the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival’s collection of 20 best films to have played in the Lab Competition since its inception. Böhmer has an interest in passing ideas, and his work is often humorous, sometimes tragic, and always approaching the absurd.
