Barış Bıçakçı

Turkish screenwriter and author.

He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ankara. He graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1992. Since 1998, he worked as the editor of the Popular Science Books series at TÜBITAK. He translated scientific works. In addition to his work as a writer, Bicakci worked as a screenwriter for Seyfi Teoman's 2011 film "Bizim Büyük Çaresizligimizimiz" and as an assistant director for Muzaffer Özdemir's 2011 film "Yurt". In addition, Baris Bicakci selected "Birdy" (1984) and "Gilbert'in Hayalleri" (1993) for the 19th "Traveling Festival" organized by the Ankara Cinema Association with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in November-December 2013, and these films were published under the title "Iki Film Arasindaki En Kisa Mesafe".
