April 25, 1913 — Cairo, Egypt

An Egyptian author and screenwriter, born in Cairo in 1913. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Fuad I University in 1937. He was editor-in-chief of the Cinema Magazine in 1973. He began his career by writing short stories in “The Message” and “The Culture” magazines. Then he turned to writing historical stories, the first of which is “Ahmose the Leader of Independence” in 1943. He also wrote Islamic stories, such as "Muhammad, the Messenger of God and Those with Him". He worked in cinema as a producer and writer, and his debut was the movie The Fools Alley. He is known for The Message (1976), Mother of the Bride (1963) and The Grandson (1975). He died on January 22, 1974.
