Jerell Rosales

Jerell Rosales is an Asian/Filipino-American and LGBTQ+ writer/director. His feature-length directorial debut, High School Lover, stars Paulina Singer, Lana Condor and François Arnaud released by Lionsgate Home Video. He's a Humanitas Prize award-winning screenwriter and a directing fellow in Film Independent's Project Involve and the Blackmagic Breakthrough Initiative. His latest, The Terrorist garnered a Jury Award Honorable Mention at the 2020 Austin Film Festival. He's passionate about telling stories with diverse characters navigating the world by fighting their way through it. Jerell grew up a military brat living in bases from Japan to Ohio, but proudly calls the Southern California's Inland Empire home. He's a graduate of UCLA's MFA Directing program and is based in Salt Lake City serving as the Assistant Professor in Cinematic Directing at Utah Valley University.
