Georges Combret

Georges Combret was a French film director, producer, and screenwriter active from the 1940s to the 1960s. He began his career as a producer, co-founding the production company Codo-Cinéma. Combret directed and produced several films, including The Convict (1951), The Babes Make the Law (1955), and The Road to Shame (1959). His films often explored themes of crime and justice, characterized by their straightforward storytelling and focus on moral dilemmas. Combret's contributions to French cinema include both popular genre films and more serious dramas, reflecting the diverse landscape of post-war French filmmaking.
