Otmar Bauer

Otmar Bauer was an Austrian filmmaker and performance artist associated with the Viennese Actionism movement of the late 1960s. This avant-garde movement was known for its radical and provocative performances that challenged societal norms. Bauer is particularly noted for his 1969 performance and film Otmar Bauer zeigt (also known as Vomit-Action), in which he engaged in extreme bodily actions, including consuming and expelling various substances, to confront and disturb the audience's sensibilities.
